Emanuela Ammendola
RttBiografia
Emanuela Ammendola is Research Fellow at Universitas Mercatorum. She got her master’s degree in LSP at the University of Naples l’Orientale and later focused on specialized terminologies in her PhD research at the University of Naples “Parthenope”. Fields of interest of her research are LSP and terminology, multimodality, audiovisual translation (AVT), social media and advertising. Her PhD dissertation on the popularisation of specialised terminologies in entertainment products was the starting point for publishing a book titled “Popularising Specialised Terminologies. Legal Terminology in TV Series: a Corpus-driven Analysis on Suits.” She also cooperated with the Terminology Coordination Unit of the European Parliament in the context of projects like YourTerm Mare, YourTerm Fem and YourTerm Food.
